Families relocating to Fort Wayne will find a strong support network, both at CTSFW and in the broader Fort Wayne community. Spouses and families are central to residential formation, and we want you to thrive while your loved ones pursue pastoral ministry or diaconal service.

Seminary Women's Assembly
Seminary Women’s Assembly (SWA) allows deaconess students and wives of pastoral students to meet and support one another. SWA hosts events, offers helpful tips to newcomers, encourages the wives of vicars, and prays for wives and deaconesses in their placements after seminary.
SWA events include lectures from seminary professors, social gatherings, and a sendoff party for women moving for their husbands’ vicarages.
For Families
Families are vital to campus life at CTSFW. Spouses and children are welcome and encouraged to participate in our community by attending chapel, going to coffee hour, and joining students and faculty at Gemütlichkeit. We also have on-campus resources and events specifically for families and children, such as our playscape, Little Lambs Storytime, and the Children’s Choir.

The Entering the Biblical World Playscape is a space designed especially for children at the Seminary. The playscape allows children to interact with the biblical world that they learn about at home, in chapel, and in church while spending time outside in God’s creation.
Little Lambs Storytime meets in Kroemer Library’s Children and Family Room every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. while classes are in session. Storytime fosters early faith development in an inviting atmosphere, and is perfect for preschoolers and their caregivers.
Our Children’s Choir is designed for home schooled children, ages 8–13, from the CTSFW community.
