Student Adoption—Student-Facing
Student Adoption provides financial support in addition to your regular financial aid. Our office will match you with a congregation, church group, or individual wishing to adopt a student.
MDiv, AR, and deaconess students may apply for the Student Adoption Program on the Financial Aid application each academic year. As part of the Student Adoption program, you are required to thank your donor in writing at least once a quarter.
Student Adoption—Donor-Facing
Our students often leave behind family, friends, and possibly previous employment to attend seminary. Many incur debt as they pursue pastoral ministry and diaconal service. To ease this burden, the Financial Aid Office established the Student Adoption program to connect donors directly to students in need. The CTSFW Student Adoption Program offsets our students’ living expenses, enabling them to focus fully on the studies to which God has called them.
You can sponsor a specific student with monthly, quarterly, or yearly donations. Contact the Financial Aid Office at (260) 452-2167 or StudentAdoption@ctsfw.edu with questions.
Food & Clothing Co-op
Our Food & Clothing Co-op is stocked by donors and provides students with food, clothing, home goods, and more free of charge.
Christmas Marketplace
Every Christmas, the CTSFW community blesses students and their families with gift cards and other out-of-the-ordinary gifts to make the holiday special.
Seminary Guild
The CTSFW Seminary Guild supports future pastors and deaconesses as they prepare for service in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
